About GICP
Built in the region, for the region
Global Impact Consulting Partners is a multidisciplinary consulting and advisory firm dedicated to sustainable development, institutional strengthening, and effective program delivery across the Horn of Africa and emerging markets.
01 — Who we are
A firm where evidence meets lived regional experience
GICP was founded on a simple conviction: development programs succeed when decisions rest on credible evidence and when delivery is grounded in the realities of the communities they serve. Too many well-funded initiatives stall between the strategy document and the field — we exist to close that gap.
Our multidisciplinary network brings together researchers, evaluators, program managers, and institutional development specialists. We support governments, multilateral institutions, development partners, NGOs, and private-sector organizations through every stage of the project lifecycle — from first strategic workshop to final evaluation and the institutional capability that remains afterward.
Headquartered in Hargeisa with regional offices in Nairobi and Mogadishu, we pair internationally recognized standards with a depth of regional knowledge that no report can substitute. Our teams work where the decisions are made — and where their consequences are felt.
02 — What drives us
Our mission
To provide evidence-based consulting, research, advisory, and capacity-building services that strengthen organizations, improve decision-making, and support sustainable development outcomes through international best practices, local expertise, and strategic partnerships.
Our vision
To be a leading regional and international consulting partner recognized for delivering innovative, reliable, and transformative solutions that advance sustainable development and institutional excellence.
Evidence first
Every recommendation we make is grounded in rigorous research, honest data, and tested method — never in convenience.
Partnership over prescription
We work alongside our clients and communities, building capability rather than dependence.
Integrity without exception
We report what we find, not what is convenient to hear — even when it is uncomfortable.
Local roots, global standards
We hold our work to international quality benchmarks while drawing on deep regional knowledge and language.
03 — Our impact story
From a Hargeisa workspace to a regional practice
GICP began with a small team of analysts and evaluators in Hargeisa who kept seeing the same pattern: programs designed far from the field, evaluated after the money was spent, and rarely transformed into lasting institutional strength. They believed a firm rooted in the region could change that.
Early engagements in monitoring and evaluation for local governance programs proved the model. Word traveled — first to national ministries, then to multilateral agencies and international NGOs working across the Horn. Each engagement added a discipline to the practice: strategic planning, then implementation support, then capacity development.
Today, a multidisciplinary network of more than twenty-five experts supports programs from three offices, and our evaluations have informed funding decisions, national strategies, and community-level services alike. The pattern we set out to break is slowly breaking — one well-evidenced decision at a time.
